Project Description

This new Waste Water Treatment Works replaces the existing plant which had reached capacity and will improve NI Water’s local infrastructure to accommodate future growth and development in the Lisnarick area.

The design and build works were phased to maintain continuity of service and included a new inlet screen, primary settlement tanks, 2 no. RBC units, flow measurement chambers, flow splitting chambers, and control kiosks with all associated pipework and site works.

The challenging site along the river edge required 6m excavation along the road side and 2.5m below river levels, with limited access. Careful programming in conjunction with the M&E supply chain was critical to the successful delivery and commissioning of the project.
